Innovation Unleashed: Exploring the Impact of AI in PR with San Francisco Public Relations Round Table

Artificial Intelligence, or AI as we call it, seems to be moving at the speed of light — with new apps coming online practically daily. Do we understand it? Should we embrace it or fear it? Which are the best platforms, and how can a keen understanding of AI make you a more effective PR practitioner and communicator?

Join the San Francisco Public Relations Round Table (PRRT) at our groundbreaking event on March 28, 2024, where we’ll share the promise and perils of this powerful and disruptive new technology. With the support of our partner, Golden Gate University’s Center for Business Innovation InSight Series, we have assembled a panel of AI experts (scroll down to see their bios) who will delve into the evolving role of AI and how it is transforming the practice of public relations and the larger world of communications.

WHEN: Thursday, March 28, 2024

TIME/WHAT: 5 to 6 p.m., networking, wine/soft drinks, and tasty hors d’oeuvres; 6 to 7:15 p.m., a panel discussion with Q&A. THIS IS AN IN-PERSON EVENT

WHERE: In person at Golden Gate University Library Learning Commons, 536 Mission Street, Ground Floor, San Francisco (some public parking available nearby; you can use a service like spothero.com to reserve)

COST: $20 per person (networking event and panel discussion).

Admission is free for GGU students, faculty, and alumni (panel discussion only). (The Eventbrite link has a special category for GGU-affiliated guests.)

The Golden Gate University’s Center for Business Innovation InSight Series and the International Association of Business Communicators, San Francisco Bay Area (SF IABC) are co-sponsoring partners with the Round Table.

This exclusive in-person event targets professionals in PR, marketing, media relations, and related fields. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to explore how AI is reshaping their industry and to gain valuable insights from our distinguished AI experts.

 Speakers:

  • Matt Burton, founder and CEO of Savant-AI, based in Austin, Texas, leads the development of a burgeoning AI intellectual property portfolio, guiding clients through AI adoption and strategic growth. He is an adjunct faculty member of the Marketing Program of GGU’s Edward S. Ageno School of Business and teaches an AI Bootcamp on the Maven platform.

  • Mallory Cloutier, SVP at Highwire PR in San Francisco, partners with a veritable group of high-profile clients on AI and the intersection of responsible AI and DEI. Mallory loves unpacking super technical and unsexy tech into something a broader audience can understand.

  • ·Sunil Rajaraman, founder of Hamlet, a tech company focused on using AI to summarize public information and make government more accessible. Sunil is a Forbes contributor who writes a column on AI topics and co-founded Scripted.com, a marketplace for businesses to hire freelance writers. He also hosted the podcast “This Is Your Life in Silicon Valley.”

  • Warner Johnston (moderator) is the founder of 5 Borough Communications, a PR firm based in San Francisco and New York that serves NGOs, non-profits, startups, and service-sector businesses. An AI enthusiast, Warner is a member of the interim SFPRRT board.

The event is integral to the Round Table’s relaunch strategy for 2024.
